Recently, the Shanghai Geriatrics Center was included in the list of green low-carbon public institutions for 2024-2026, released by the National Government Offices Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission. This achievement marks the center as the only data center in Shanghai to be recognized in this green transformation initiative.
In September 2023, the National Government Offices Administration and the National Development and Reform Commission issued a notice on selecting green low-carbon public institutions. The notice focuses on promoting green and low-carbon technologies and targets five technical directions suitable for public institutions, including the electrification of energy systems. After a rigorous review, 251 units were selected as green low-carbon public institutions. As a pioneer in the digital transformation of the healthcare industry, the Shanghai Geriatrics Center responded actively to the national “green data center” initiative, achieving the goals of constructing a "green," "low-carbon," and "efficient" data center. Their unique data room construction project was key to their selection.
The core data room, a crucial part of the hospital's information construction projects, serves as the foundational infrastructure for the Hospital Information System (HIS), Clinical Information System (CIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and inspection systems. To enhance relevant technological advancements, the hospital collaborated with Huawei Digital Energy to introduce Huawei's intelligent micro-module solutions, jointly creating a green, intelligent modular data center to support the smooth implementation of integrated medical, health, and elderly care services.

Sealed Channels and Close-Coupled Cooling Improve Efficiency and Reduce Energy Consumption
The FusionModule2000 row-level air-cooled system, combined with sealed cold aisles and row-level precision air conditioning, ensures stable operation of the cooling system. Compared to traditional solutions, it effectively addresses issues such as chaotic airflow and high energy consumption within data centers, reducing PUE by 25% and achieving green, low-carbon operations.

Mobile Intelligent Management: Simplified Operation and Maintenance with Four No-Management Features
To address operational challenges, Huawei's intelligent micro-module solution offers mobile intelligent management based on Huawei's full-stack cloud data center capabilities. It realizes four no-management features: no hardware deployment, no room inspections, no fault localization, and no on-site maintenance. With a one-click scan to connect, it enables 24/7 mobile operation and maintenance, monthly in-depth data center inspections, identification of over 20 hidden hazards, fault handling guidance, and one-click repairs. This significantly reduces manual inspection workloads, improves fault repair efficiency, simplifies the data room fault handling process, and operational management rules, allowing maintenance personnel to focus more on other information construction tasks.
