At the "See You on the Road to 5G Capital - 5G-A Lighting Up the City" event held in Beijing, Beijing Unicom and Huawei officially launched the world's first 5G-A large-scale three-dimensional smart network. This innovative network has achieved 5G-A full-area continuous coverage in areas within the Fourth Ring Road of Beijing and the city's sub-center, and used high and low frequency networking at the Workers' Stadium to create a world-leading 5G-A smart commercial complex. At the same time, the industry's first 5G-A 10G air-to-ground integrated large-scale networking demonstration was deployed in the Great Wall scenic area, creating a "5G-A low-altitude economic innovation base." This innovative release has brought citizens a more "Beijing" experience.

Beijing Unicom continues to promote 5G-A large-scale networking demonstrations, and has worked with Huawei to build the world's largest-scale 5G-A 3CC commercial network in Beijing, covering a variety of key scenarios such as stadiums, schools, scenic spots, subways, business districts and residential areas, achieving continuous coverage of areas within the Fourth Ring Road of Beijing and the city's sub-center, with a 5G-A effectiveness rate of more than 85%, providing powerful 5G-A 3CC network capability support for immersive video, ultra-high-definition live broadcast, cloud gaming and other services. At the same time, Beijing Unicom combines 5G-A 3CC network capabilities with traditional telephone booths to achieve one-click navigation, one-click taxi calling, one-click alarm, one-click medical treatment and other services, benefiting tens of millions of people in Beijing.

Beijing Unicom, together with Sinobo Group, Gitvos-Workers' Stadium Metaverse, and Huawei, has built a world-leading 5G-A three-dimensional networking super network at the Workers' Stadium. Based on the large-scale deployment of 5G-A 3CC sites inside and outside the Workers' Stadium, the world's thickest 5G-A 10G collaborative networking has been achieved, with a downlink peak rate of 11.2Gbps, which can effectively meet the needs of 68,000 spectators at the Workers' Stadium to watch 1080p high-definition video smoothly at the same time. The uplink peak rate can reach 4Gbps, enabling CCTV ultra-high-definition shallow compression and other services, and helping to organize smart games. In addition, Beijing Unicom has actively innovated practices in the fields of Internet of Vehicles, Internet of Things, and XR separation rendering, demonstrating the potential of 5G-A networks to empower thousands of industries.

In the Great Wall scenic area, the Beijing Yanqing District Government worked closely with Beijing Unicom to deploy a large number of 5G-A 10G base stations, achieving continuous coverage of the ground and low altitude in the Great Wall area, and meeting the air-ground integrated coverage below 300 meters. Through high- and low-frequency collaborative networking, a highly reliable and high-quality deterministic network is provided, and in-depth exploration is carried out in scenarios such as low-altitude tourism, low-altitude logistics, low-altitude emergency rescue, and scenic area protection, to help the high-quality development of the low-altitude economy.

5G-A site full process automation, minute-level provisioning, AI-driven intelligent optimization

Based on the 5G intelligent operation platform, Beijing Unicom has established a complete end-to-end self-activation process for 5G-A sites in lightweight scenarios. The activation time of 5G-A base stations has been shortened from days to minutes, with zero manual intervention, significantly reducing network security risks. At the same time, AI is combined to achieve activation optimization, service optimization, and iterative patrol optimization, and build a full-process automatic optimization of 5G-A base stations based on user business big data. As the world's first operator to achieve self-activation and self-optimization of the network in lightweight scenarios, Beijing Unicom has also realized distributed AI management by sinking computing power to base stations, building a digital intelligence ecosystem with cloud-edge collaboration.
