Limited ceiling height? Complicated deployment? Huawei's Smart Micro-Module Solution breaks through these challenges!
Indonesia, known as the "Land of a Thousand Islands," boasts a large population of 267 million. Thanks to its population size and youthful demographic structure, Indonesia's IT technology and internet penetration have rapidly increased. According to Asosiasi Penyelenggara Jasa Internet Indonesia (APJII), Indonesia's internet penetration rate reached 78.19% in 2022-2023, providing strong support for the country's digital economy.
To accelerate the digital transformation process, the Indonesian government has formulated the "2021-2024 Digital Indonesia Roadmap" to promote market economic growth. The roadmap proposes four strategic areas for digital transformation: digital infrastructure, digital government, digital economy, and digital society. It establishes ten key areas and six strategic directions.
As the foundation for the development of the digital economy, the construction of digital infrastructure, such as data centers, is particularly important.
PT Matrix NAP Info Lintas Nusa (Matrix NAP Info), established in 2000, is a renowned telecommunications company in Indonesia. With its professional network and hosting services, Matrix NAP Info provides secure and reliable solutions for enterprise users. To meet the growing business demand, Matrix NAP Info plans to renovate and operate a simplified, secure, and green data center in the MDC-JK3 Plaza Kuningan office hall.
Due to its limited area of only 125 m² and a ceiling height of only 2.6 meters, traditional data center solutions cannot be adopted. Moreover, traditional data centers require numerous and complex equipment, involving substantial initial investment, which cannot meet the need for rapid deployment.
Based on Matrix NAP Info's current situation, Huawei planned and designed from three aspects: architecture scalability, reliability, and manageability, and readjusted the area. After comprehensive scoping and evaluation, the project adopted Huawei's FusionModule2000 smart modular data center solution, achieving lower carbon emissions, higher reliability, and greater intelligence.
Simple Installation and Rapid Deployment
Compared to traditional data centers, Huawei's smart micro-modules have stronger scene adaptability, are not restricted by the installation environment, and have lower ceiling height requirements. Additionally, through factory prefabrication, the micro-module directly integrates key components such as UPS, temperature control, and monitoring, significantly shortening the construction period to meet Matrix NAP Info's rapid deployment needs.

Green Energy Saving and Reduced Energy Consumption
Traditional data centers often lack hot and cold aisle isolation, leading to chaotic airflow and local hotspots within the data center. This project adopts a closed cold aisle and row-level precision air conditioning, achieving efficient near-end cooling of IT equipment, effectively preventing local hotspots, and improving cooling efficiency. Compared with traditional solutions, the PUE is reduced by 25%.
Safe, Reliable, and Stable Operation
The power system of the data center is like the heart, providing reliable and stable power. Huawei's UPS5000-E adopts a modular redundancy design with no single point of failure, ensuring stable operation. Power modules, monitoring modules, and bypass modules all support hot-swapping, allowing maintenance to be completed in 5 minutes, greatly reducing operation and maintenance difficulty. The modular UPS can achieve high efficiency at low loads, saving substantial electricity costs for Nap Info.

Intelligent Operation and Simplified Management
Huawei's smart micro-module is equipped with the NetEco6000 intelligent management system, achieving automated data center operation. Through 3D visual management, it can monitor key information such as temperature and humidity, water leakage, UPS, batteries, and air conditioning operation parameters in real time. It can also upload alarm information in real time, promptly handle faults, and ensure the safe operation of equipment.
Thomas Dragono, Executive Director of Nap Info Group, stated, "As a global leader in ICT solutions, Huawei has accumulated years of technical experience in the ICT field. We are honored to cooperate with Huawei to deploy Huawei's smart micro-module FusionModule2000 at MDC-JK3 Plaza Kuningan. Its modular design meets the needs of rapid deployment and has a highly adaptable installation environment."
In the future, Matrix NAP Info will continue to improve and upgrade existing data centers to meet the ever-changing business needs. Huawei will also continue to provide the best services through the latest technologies, helping Matrix NAP Info achieve digital transformation.
