Huawei Smart Modular Helps Mexico Build a Digital Airport
Mexico City, a metropolis with a thousand-year history, is now revitalized with new energy. As one of the world's largest cities, Mexico City is renowned for its unique culture, cuisine, and warm people. However, the city's charm goes beyond these aspects. In recent years, Mexico City has also showcased remarkable innovation and development in the field of technology.

Within this vibrant city, the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA Airport) has officially come into operation, becoming one of Mexico's most important transportation hubs. As a newly constructed airport, AIFA Airport meets the aviation transport needs of Mexico City and its surrounding areas, providing travelers with a safe, convenient, and efficient air travel option.

The data center construction of AIFA Airport is a crucial part of the airport's overall development. To meet the growing demands of travelers and continually enhance aviation safety standards, AIFA Airport has introduced Huawei's Smart Modular Data Center FusionModule2000, creating a safe and reliable data center.
Huawei Smart Modular Solution: A Leader in Data Center Construction
FusionModule2000 is a one-stop solution designed for small to medium-sized data center scenarios. Its design is simple and highly adaptable to various building conditions. Compared to traditional solutions, it has lower requirements for deployment conditions such as ceiling height, allowing enterprises to deploy more flexibly and expand as needed.

Green and Simple, Building a Low-Carbon Data Center
FusionModule2000 adopts a modular design, integrating temperature control, cabinets, channels, cabling, and monitoring systems into one module. Its full modular architecture enables simplified installation, rapid deployment, and space-saving.

Traditional data centers often experience chaotic airflows due to the lack of hot and cold aisle isolation, leading to local hotspots. This project employs a row-level air cooling system, combined with sealed cold aisles and row-level precision air conditioning, to achieve efficient close-range cooling of IT equipment. This effectively curbs local hotspots and improves cooling efficiency. Compared to traditional solutions, PUE is reduced by 25%, achieving green and low-carbon operation for the data center.

Safe and Reliable, Uninterrupted Business Operations
The power supply system is the heart of a data center, providing stable and powerful support for continuous operation. The AIFA Airport data center uses Huawei's ultra-high-density modular UPS with redundant design for key components. In case of a single module failure, other modules remain unaffected. Huawei's UPS also employs AI technology to shift from passive maintenance to proactive predictive maintenance. Using AI intelligence, it can predict the lifespan of fans and capacitors in real-time, giving advance warnings for replacements, reducing fault risks, and enhancing overall system reliability. Huawei's SmartLi intelligent lithium battery uses high-stability lithium iron phosphate cells, paired with a three-layer BMS protection system from the pack level to the cabinet level to the system level. Each battery is equipped with a pack-level fire extinguisher, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the battery system.
Intelligent Operations and Maintenance, Reducing Management Burden
Huawei's Smart Modular solution is equipped with the NetEco intelligent management system, which monitors key information such as temperature, humidity, leaks, UPS, battery, and air conditioning parameters in real-time. It presents the operational status of the data center in 3D visualization and provides equipment anomaly alarms and fault impact analysis, achieving comprehensive real-time monitoring and significantly reducing the difficulty of manual operations and maintenance.

The collaboration between AIFA Airport and Huawei Digital Energy provides a successful model for the digital transformation of global airports. In this digital age, airports play an increasingly important role as bridges connecting different parts of the world. Through digital transformation, airports can better address growing security challenges and passenger flow pressures, improving operational efficiency and service quality. Huawei's Smart Modular solution is a powerful tool aiding airports in achieving digital transformation, ensuring the steadfast operation of smart airports.

Looking ahead, we hope to explore more possibilities for smart airports with AIFA Airport, jointly promoting the development of smart airports, setting new benchmarks for the global aviation industry, and advancing the progress and development of the digital age. We also look forward to seeing more global airports join the ranks of digital transformation, collectively driving innovation and development in the aviation industry, and jointly building the future wings of digital aviation.
